You may not think it, but resistance bands are actually incredibly impressive when it comes to cheap workout equipment that can get you in shape. Not only are they affordable, they are also light weight and portable, which means you can take them virtually anywhere with you.
Dumbbells can also vary greatly in price, though if you opt for a set of spin lock dumbbells, as opposed to pro-style dumbbells, you will save yourself a great deal of money and snag one heck of a bargain. Spin lock dumbbells allow you to add or remove plates as you go, so you can basically pick and choose which weight you use. A set of spinlock dumbbells combined with an adjustable weight bench is absolutely perfect, as you now have the ability to train virtually every major muscle group possible, using just two pieces of cheap and affordable equipment. Although it can be tedious having to unscrew the weights and replace plates etc, it only takes a few seconds and when you consider how much money you will save compared with buying pro-style dumbbells, spending an extra few seconds screwing and unscrewing, seems like a, pardon the pun, small price to pay.
Adjustable benches vary dramatically in price, though if you are on a budget, there are still a number of benches that can be purchased for a very affordable price. Adjustable benches are perfect for home gyms or home workout spaces and, if you have the correct equipment to utilize with them, they also allow you the ability to perform a full body workout. When choosing an adjustable bench, look for a bench that has a decline, a flat, an incline, and an upright position, as that will allow you the option to perform more exercises for more body parts and muscle groups. Keep in mind for an adjustable bench that the decline aspect for the isn’t as necessary, but it is a nice option.
